A driver intentionally crashed a stolen pickup truck into Green Country Pawn early Wednesday morning, according to Tulsa Police.

Now, instead of enjoying a long holiday weekend, employees at Green County Pawn Shop are cleaning up the damage.

A mangled gate and mounds of shattered glass are just some of the damage left after surveillance video shows a man ram a Nissan pickup into the front of the pawn shop Wednesday morning.

Shop owner Charles Taylor estimates thousands of dollars in damage.

"Glass completely through the inside of the shop, the door frame was knocked down, things were...as you can see, the gate was completely crushed into the doorway," he said.

After slamming into the building, the man got out of the truck and ran toward the door. Then, he took off, leaving the truck running in the parking lot.

The Tulsa Police Department said it was stolen.

Taylor said it’s very fortunate the man was unable to get inside.

"We have quite a few firearms, and I don't want the firearms to be out on the street the wrong way," he said.

Taylor planned to give his employees a four-day weekend, but now they have to come in to help clean up.

"We've gotta get this fixed and get set up so we're ready to operate on Monday," he said.

Police said the driver stole the truck two days ago.
