Weather conditions for traveling this Thanksgiving will be pretty good here in Oklahoma. Today’s storm system will be moving out tonight. If you’re traveling east on Wednesday, rain and storms will be impacting locations from Chicago to New Orleans.
If you’re traveling to Wisconsin, Minnesota or Michigan, be ready for winter weather. The far northeastern corner of the country will continue to deal with light snow. In the far northwest, a storm system will be making landfall with a mix of rain and snow.
That’s a general synopsis for across the country.
Today’s storm system will be impacting the east coast on Thanksgiving Day while a second system will be bringing wintry weather over the northern Midwest.
Conditions will remain nice and quiet here in Oklahoma. A cold front will be nearing Thanksgiving night but it will be a dry frontal passage.
Winds will pick up out of the south as the front nears so look for a breezy but warmer afternoon. With the Thanksgiving Night cold front, your Black Friday shopping will be cooler.
