Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Wounded At Tulsa Motel

Police are looking for a shooter who killed one man and wounded another person at a Tulsa motel Friday evening.

Sgt. Dave Walker says just before 9:25 p.m.  officers were called about a shooting at the Holiday Motel in the 3200 block of West Charles Page Boulevard.

They arrived and found a 51-year-old homeless man with a gunshot wound to the head lying on the ground outside the motel.  He died at a Tulsa hospital early Saturday.  

Another shooting victim was found in a motel room according to Sgt. Walker.  He says it appears that man was the intended victim.  

Sgt. Walker believes the shooter walked up to the motel from a nearby field, shot the first man outside the motel and then went over to a nearby room and shot the second victim through the window.  That victim was also taken to the hospital and is expected to recover.

Police said the suspect then ran off.  

Sgt. Walker says this is Tulsa's 70th homicide of the year.
