Officers arrested a man suspected of driving a stolen pickup and leading Tulsa Police on a chase early Wednesday.

Police says the man is identified as Branden Wood.

They say just before 4 a.m., an officer spotted the Toyota Tacoma in the 8300 block of East 27th Street.  When police tried to stop the driver, he took off.  Police lost sight of the truck near 10400 East 21st Street.

A short time later, another police officer spotted the stolen pickup eastbound on Interstate-44 at Highway 169 and began chasing it.

Police said the truck eventually crashed into a parked car and ended up in the front yard of a home in the 1100 block of South 124th East Avenue.

They said Wood got out of the truck and ran, but officers arrested him after a short foot chase.

Branden Wood was booked into the Tulsa County jail.
