A Tulsa man says there's not enough money in the world to replace his stolen trailer because of the memories it carries.
Thieves drove off with it last month and were caught on camera.
Yes, trailers get stolen all the time and yes, most owners just take the loss or file with their insurance, but, this owner has driven hundreds of miles to several states putting up a reward poster and offering a $1,000 reward because to him, it's more than just a trailer.
"My first thought, where'd my trailer go? And then it processed, it's gone. Someone stole it," said the victim, Tony.
Tony's dad bought the trailer new and they hauled cars and all kinds of things on it, racking up memories with all the miles. His dad passed away three years ago, which is why the trailer is worth so much more to Tony than the $6,000 price tag.
"Not only have I lost my dad, this is one of the few remaining things of memory of him," Tony said. "So in a way, I feel like they've taken that away. Kind of like I lost my Dad again."
Tony's neighbor's camera caught a shot of a white truck, regular cab, long bed with blacked out wheels pulling Tony's trailer out of the neighborhood October 10, 2016, at 4 a.m.
"I have traveled hundreds of miles with these flyers, chased leads," Tony said. "Flyers everywhere in surrounding states, Witchita, Arkansas, Texas and everywhere in between."
The trailer has unique features - a custom I-beam welded on the front protecting a 9,500-pound Ramsey Winch. There are two hidden compartments under the wooden floor, two flip down steps on the sides and a male-end welded on the back for a fip jack, plus reflective tape down the sides.
If you see the stolen trailer or the suspect's truck, either call the number on the poster or contact Lori Fullbright, News On 6 Crime Reporter.
