Tulsa County Sheriff In Talks To Create New TV Show

You could soon see Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies on a new TV show.

Sheriff Vic Regalado is in talks with a production company to create a show called The Unit. The series would feature the department's Cold Case Task Force.

Attorney Dan Smolen said it's hypocritical, considering our partners at The Frontier filed a lawsuit against the department for refusing to release some jail surveillance videos.

"My thoughts on the Sheriff's Office, both before and after the new administration, has been that they choose when they want to release information, even if it's public information that should be released anyways. This is just another example of that," Smolen said.

Regalado will ask County Commissioners to sign off on the agreement Monday.

He was not available for comment Thursday.
