Tulsa Police: Porch Thieves Get Early Start On Holiday Season

Christmas is 44 days away, and Tulsa police say thieves are already taking advantage of holiday shoppers.

Surveillance pictures show a man stealing a package Wednesday off a porch near 106th and Sheridan.

The pictures show the man pull up in a white pickup in broad daylight. He walks to the porch, grabs the box and takes off.

Last week, different surveillance video showed another porch theft in midtown.

Officer Jeanne MacKenzie said, "It could be one person who just happened to see a package and stopped, or, it could be a group of people working together stealing these packages. So, if we can get them identified and arrested we can hopefully decrease the amount of packages that are taken."

Police say if you're expecting a package, get a neighbor to pick it up for you; and, if you can, get your packages delivered to your job.
