The showers may linger for a few hours early this morning before a surface boundary arrives this afternoon with north winds and dry air. Once this happens our pattern will support super-fine weather for the middle to the end of the week with another system possibly nearing the area Sunday into early next week. The pattern should continue to change for the next few weeks with a gradual turn to colder weather by the middle of November.
It took a while but yesterday the showers eventually moved across most of eastern OK by afternoon and evening. This morning the main upper level trough will move east into the northeastern U.S. while a weak surface boundary will arrive and move southward. Once this occurs the showers will shut-down but the clouds may linger through the day. Highs this afternoon should stay in the lower or mid-60s along with north winds at 10 to 15 mph. A few additional showers may be possible between 2pm and 6pm across far southeastern OK. I anticipate the early morning showers should end around 10am for most locations across NE Ok if not sooner.
Wednesday through Friday will be centered upon cool morning lows in the 40s and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s. Some folks Thursday morning could be in the 30s. A weak front may slide across the area Friday with north winds and a minor reduction in temperatures but no precipitation. Friday Night Football features the opening round of the playoffs with games starting and ending the 50s.

The weekend will start with lows in the lower to mid-40s and end with highs in the upper 60s. Sunday into Monday another system may be nearing the state with a few showers but the chances will remain low for this forecast update cycle. The extended model data has been consistently pointing toward a major pattern shift by the middle of November with much colder air invading the northern and eastern part of the nation. We may see a touch of colder air by 16th of November for a day or two. Stay tuned.
Thanks for reading the Tuesday morning weather discussion and blog.
Have a super great day!
