Cherokee, Creek Early History Illustrated Through Atlanta Airport Exhibit

Oklahoma and Georgia have a lot of shared history when it comes to Native Americans and that history is on display in the Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport. 

'A Walk Through Atlanta History' is a permanent exhibit in the transportation mall between concourses B and C in the Atlanta airport, created by artist Gary Moss.

The exhibit, which is curated by the Atlanta History Center, illustrates Atlanta's history from Native American to the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games, according to Ayunini Media. The Native history is just one aspect of Atlanta's history in the exhibit.

The exhibit is more than 400 feet of 3D wall graphics, reader rail and eight widescreen videos, according to Ayunini Media's website. 

The Native American portion of the display features historical information about the Cherokee and Creek tribes, who originated in Georgia and other areas of the southeast before the removal in 1830.
