A judge dismissed a first-degree murder charge against a 28-year-old Tulsa man in the 2014 stabbing death of his mother.
Prosecutors requested the dismissal of the charge against Arthur Lee DeVaughn, saying "he has been unable to achieve competency with a reasonable period of time as required by Oklahoma law."
DeVaughn was charged in February 2014 in the death of 51-year-old Glenda Castaneda. According to court records, a judge ruled him incompetent after a mental health exam in 2014.
