It's a Night Out Against Crime in Broken Arrow where thousands of people just finished not only celebrating but trying to build a better bond between the public and police.
Several businesses and organizations were playing games and handing out candy to kids in costumes.
The focus of "Night Out Against Crime" is not just preventing crime, but for people to meet the first responders who protect them every day.
"Safe environment, you don't have, especially with things going on in the world right now,” said Broken Arrow resident Richard Wetmore. “You know, you have police and other parents out here to watch your kids or help your kids."
The B.A. police chief says tonight sends a message to would-be criminals that Broken Arrow has organized neighborhoods that are fighting back against crime.
