A cold front remains stalled out across northeastern Oklahoma very near the Tulsa metro Wednesday afternoon, leading to another afternoon of unseasonably warm and very humid weather.
Highs will be surging well back into the mid-upper 80s across most of eastern Oklahoma. The exception will be areas north of Tulsa, where drier air will keep temperatures several degrees cooler.
That cold front will help trigger some scattered showers and storms from late afternoon into the evening hours, particularly just to the east and southeast of Tulsa. A few storms could become strong to severe, with large hail and damaging winds the main threats.
The cold front will eventually begin to move back south across eastern Oklahoma from late afternoon into the evening hours, ushering in much more fall-like air overnight into Thursday!
