The City of Tulsa spent more than $216,000 on overtime for Tulsa Police in the days following the shooting death of Terence Crutcher.
Terence Crutcher died after being shot by Officer Betty Shelby on the evening of September 16, 2016.
According to records obtained on October 11 by a News On 6 Open Records request, the Tulsa Police Department accrued a total of $216,110.44 in overtime costs from September 19 to September 28, 2016.

The city provided a spreadsheet of the totals.
Captain Brett Bailey said the totals listed on the spreadsheet are for the days when the police department was using a command post and apply to officers either working in or assigned through the command post.
Captain Bailey said the officers worked various assignments but that the amounts were not broken out, by assignment.
The command post was active for ten days, covering Crutcher's funeral, a rally featuring Reverend Al Sharpton and several smaller protests and rallies in the wake of Crutcher's death.
The city spent the most in overtime on September 24, 2016, the day of Crutcher's funeral. The city says it spent $78,350.61 on overtime for Tulsa Police that day.
Officers worked a total of 1,474.75 hours of overtime that day.
