Police are investigating after a fatal pedestrian accident Tuesday evening in midtown Tulsa.
Officers say the accident happened in the 6800 block of East 21st Street shortly before 7:30 p.m. They said the victim, a man between the age of 70 to 75 and pushing a shopping cart, began to walk across the street when he was struck by an eastbound Subaru.
Officers said witnesses told police the man appeared to be in a hurry as he crossed the street.
They said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the juvenile driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and was questioned by investigators. Officers say at this point, it doesn't appear there was any wrongdoing by the driver who was released to his parents.
