OU's Samaje Perine is only 581 yards away from breaking the school's all-time rushing record, but it looks like the the junior running back will have to wait at least a couple of games to cut into Billy Sims' mark of 4,118 yards.

Bob Stoops announced on Monday that Perine would be out at least two weeks with a minor pull that he suffered in the Sooners' win over Kansas State.
“Samaje Perine has a slight pulled muscle, so he will be out at least two weeks, maybe three," Stoops said. "That’s going to be ongoing, a running back with a slight pull, we just got to make sure that it heals properly, so that’ll be here for a couple weeks for sure.”
Perine only totaled two carries before going down in the first quarter of the KSU game, but Joe Mixon was able to pick up the workload nicely by finishing with 122 total yards and two touchdowns (one receiving and one passing).
OU's next three games come against Texas Tech, Iowa State and Kansas, so there's no need for Perine to hurry back and risk further injury.
