Extra Jenks Public Schools Police officers are patrolling every campus because of the creepy clown threats on social media.

District leaders stressed to us today they've found no evidence of any real threat on any campus, but they are taking extra precautions to keep all students safe.

School officials confirmed that there was a picture circulating earlier in the week of a "creepy clown claiming to be in a high school."

Jenks Campus Police and officers investigated the photos and determined that the photo was not taken at any of their school sites and have had no further reports of photos, posts, or clown sightings, officials said.

"Our officers, principals, and teachers are aware of the clown craze and will remain vigilant for anything or anyone who may pose a threat to the safety and security of our students," school officials said.

The school also sent a statement to the parents of its students, reassuring them that they investigated and found no evidence of any threat exists. The statement also encouraged parents to speak to their children about the nature of social media hoaxes and using social media responsibly.
