Tulsa Police: Robber In Clown Costume Tries To Steal Man's Bicycle

A man told Tulsa Police he was attacked by a man in a clown costume who tried to steal his bicycle Thursday night.  

Officers said it happened Thursday evening on 107th East Avenue across from the Southport Apartments.

Police said the victim told officers a man in what they described as a "Gothic clown" costume tried to take his bicycle as he was riding at about 8 p.m.  

The victim said the robber cut him on the arm with a knife then ran away. The victim described the suspect as having half his face painted black and the other half white as well as wearing black and white clothing with a jester's cap.

Police used a dog to search the area but didn't find the attacker.

A man reported being attacked by a suspect wearing clown makeup early Thursday morning. That attack happened in the 5100 block of East 77th Street at around 12:30 a.m. while the victim was out walking his dog.
