Tulsa dentist Bert Franklin's practice is in financial ruin and all the equipment in his South Tulsa office is being liquidated.
Franklin remains in jail, accused of murdering his girlfriend's toddler.
The company doing the auction has seen its fair share of sad stories, bankruptcies, foreclosures but they said they have never seen a story as tragic as this, which is what led them to decide to donate a portion of the auction's sales to the victim's family.
Solid Resources, LLC is the company in Chicago that's listing all of Franklin's business assets on an online auction.
Dental chairs, x-ray machines, office furniture and much more can be bid on now through October 7, 2016.
"The circumstances around this case are simply tragic," said Steve Roemer of Solid Resources, LLC. "The victim list goes on, particularly when it involves a child, it pulls at one's heartstrings. We just felt if we are going to earn a fee in these circumstances we should give some back to the victims."
Police said July 17, 2016, surveillance video inside the home of Franklin's girlfriend shows Franklin babysitting her son, Lincoln Lewis.
A detective testified that the video shows Franklin slamming the baby to the ground, making a kicking motion, then carrying the limp boy into the kitchen, where Franklin got a piece of pizza.
It's that information that pulled at the heart of a company located nearly 700 miles from Oklahoma.
They said they'd like to maximize the amount of bidding on Franklin's assets so they'll have more money to donate.
