The Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s help in identifying a person of interest in an armed robbery.
TCSO said the victim was sitting in his car September 1, 2016, in the parking lot of the Turley Warehouse Market at 6230 North Peoria Avenue when a black man wearing a Carhartt jacket opened the victim's driver's side door, pointed a semi-automatic pistol at him and demanded money.
A second black man assisted in the robbery, TCSO said.
The victim handed over his wallet and one of the robbers removed the cash and tossed the wallet back to the victim, sheriff's said.
The men fled the scene in a black Tahoe.
On September 5, 2016, the victim was shopping at QuikTrip at 220 North Gilcrease Museum Drive when he said he encountered the same two men who robbed him four days earlier.
Tips have helped identify one of the suspects, but no names have been released at this time.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is working with Tulsa Police to see if the men could be responsible for a recent robbery at a north Tulsa business.
Anyone with information can call TCSO Det. Michael Heisten at 918-596-8676 or Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
EDITOR'S NOTE: The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office originally released two images of possible suspects. Thursday TCSO said they identified that man as well and concluded he was no longer a suspect. His image has been removed from this story.
