A $15 million project to rehabilitate the eastbound Highway 412 bridge over the Verdigris River near Inola is scheduled to begin Monday.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says the project calls for the deck to be replaced as well as extensive substructure repairs to the bridge.
Crews will make surface repairs to the westbound bridge first, because it will carry both east and westbound traffic through most of 2017.
ODOT says while no lane closures are expected during the first couple of days of the project, drivers should still be alert to crews and equipment in the area.
