Police say they have made an arrest in threats made against Fort Gibson Public Schools.

Chief Donnie Yarbrough said those threats were made on Monday and Wednesday. He says with help from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, ATF, FBI and the Muskogee County DA's office, his officers arrested a suspect Thursday.

In a news release,Chief Yarbrough stated:

The community should feel at ease regarding these threats and at this time there appears to be no willingness on behalf of the individual to act out on these threats.

Yarbrough did not identify the suspect, but said their investigation continues.

The school district says classes will be in session Friday.
