A three-vehicle crash north of Okmulgee resulted in the death of a Glenpool woman Wednesday evening.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified her as 43-year-old Shelley Smith. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the OHP, Smith had parked her 2015 Chevrolet Silverado on the shoulder of southbound Highway 75 and was trying to get a washer and dryer out of the road after they'd fallen out of her truck.
The OHP said Terrina Alexander, 51, stopped her 2014 Chevrolet car in the road because of the washer and dryer. A 2013 Ford Escape driven by Javier Ramirez, 44, of Okmulgee hit the back of Alexander's car, then hit Smith and her truck, according to troopers.
Alexander was taken to an Okmulgee hospital where she was treated and released. Three children in Smith's pickup -- a seven-month old, an 11-year-old and a 15-year-old -- were not injured.
Ramirez was not injured, either.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says it is still investigating the crash.
