There's a new scam warning out today, this time from criminals pretending to be with the Oklahoma Election Board.
Scammers are using digital technology to attempt to get people’s personal information.
Oklahoma election officials have received multiple reports of emails being designed to look like communications from state or county election boards.
The email claims voter information has been changed or needs verification, but the website they tell you to click on is not legitimate.
The election board urges voters not to open these emailed links because all authentic voter correspondence from the state election board will be sent via U.S. mail and not email.
The election board will respond to emails sent only through a web form on its website, which is www.ok.gov/elections.
