Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a 17-year-old girl is in critical condition after a head-on crash in Rogers County.

Troopers were dispatched to State Highway 88 and EW 440 a little after 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 7, 2016.

They said the 17-year-old driver was southbound on the highway when she went left of center for an unknown reason. Troopers said that driver, who was not identified due to her age, swerved right and the driver of an oncoming vehicle swerved left.

They hit about a foot west of the center line, according to a collision report.

The report states the northbound driver, Emily Gray of Claremore, was also injured. The 18-year-old woman was taken to the hospital where she is said to be stable with head and leg injuries.

The unidentified teen, who is a Talala resident, was transported by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital where she is said to be in critical condition with head, trunk, arm and leg injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the trooper's report states. OHP is investigating the condition of the driver who went left of center.
