A relatively mild and comfortable air mass will reside across northeastern Oklahoma today and for most of Saturday before south winds bring moisture and heat back through the area early next week. Temperatures this morning will start in the upper 50s and lower 60s with some clouds south of the Tulsa area, but dry air will continue to filter south with sunshine, north winds, and highs in the lower to mid-80s this afternoon. Today's pattern should result in a five-star weather day for northern OK.
South winds are anticipated to return Saturday morning. Before the wind speeds begin to increase, temperatures may still have a chance to dive down to local dew points. This means Saturday morning lows should be into the mid or upper 50s for the majority of eastern Oklahoma with locations south experiencing morning lows the lower 60s. South winds will increase at 10 mph Saturday afternoon and temperatures will warm into the upper 80s near 90 with sunshine.

The upper air flow will become more from the southwest early next week. Temperatures are anticipated to warm up above the seasonal average Monday through Wednesday with morning lows back in the 70s and daytime highs into the lower or possibly even mid-nineties. The return of south and southeast winds at 10 to 25 miles per hour will bring low-level moisture back across the area Tuesday. Temperature heat index numbers will climb during this time. There may also be a few scattered showers and storms Tuesday, and Wednesday but the higher chances may reside away from our area. The next system of interest will arrive around Thursday into Friday with increasing rain and storm chances.
If you're making plans for Friday Night football games, the weather should be spectacular with temperatures dropping into the upper 60s or 70s by the end of the game.
The Labor Day holiday looks good with only an isolated storm chance across extreme Eastern Oklahoma at best. I will mention that the Euro model data continue to support a system across East Texas and Western Louisiana. This may increase a few showers or storms across far Southeastern Oklahoma Monday afternoon or Monday night, but the probably remains very low.
Thanks for reading the Friday morning weather discussion and blog.
Have a super great day!
