Multiple Organizations Helping Veterans Benefit From PatriotFest Funds

Thursday, organizers of the Route 66 PatriotFest Car Show and Cruise handed out the money it raised for deserving military groups in Tulsa.

Last year, PatriotFest donations went to Folds of Honor only, but this year's event was such a success that five other military service organizations also received money.

They include Blue Star Moms, Patriot Guard Riders, and the Coffee Bunker for veterans.

Tulsa City Councilor Jeannie Cue said, "Any veterans in general, we love 'em and we want them to be a part of this PatriotFest. We want to do things that help our city and enhance everyone in our city."

PatriotFest also helps promote Route 66 Main Street, which a non-profit group dedicated to revitalizing the Southwest Boulevard corridor in Tulsa.
