The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigates reports that fatal officer-involved shootings are down in the state compared to this time last year. There have been 13 shootings by law enforcement officers that resulted in a civilian death, according to a news release.
OSBI reports that a decrease of 43.5 percent compared to 2015.
Four took place in the month of July.
Deaths due to Tasers, car accidents or medical incidents are not included - only deaths involving the use of a service weapon.
