Quinton Man Drowns At Skiatook Lake

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol recovered the body of a drowning victim at Skiatook Lake Saturday morning around 10:00 a.m.

Troopers say the incident happened Friday afternoon in the Crystal Bay area southeast of Osage Park.

In their report, the OHP says the victim, Nicolas Birckel, 30, of Quinton jumped from a boat to swim, went under water and did not resurface.  

They say an investigation into the incident continues.
