Painting Project To Close Lanes Of Jenks Arkansas River Bridge

Beginning Sunday evening, the outside lanes of the 96th Street Bridge in Jenks will be closed overnight.

The City of Jenks says the reason is because a contractor is painting the bridge.  They say the work will only be done from 9 p.m. to  5 a.m. starting Sunday, August 14 through Sunday, August 21.

Again, only the outside lanes of the bridge will be closed overnight.  

Jenks says each morning, traffic cones and signs will be removed by the contractor until the next  nights work begins.
