Charges Filed Against Tulsa Mom Accused Of Trying To Kill Children

A Tulsa mother is facing formal charges of first-degree attempted arson and two counts of child neglect.

Officers arrested Kristan Kirk on August 3rd. She told investigators she tried to set two fires to kill her children because they were cannibals.

The maintenance man at the apartment complex heard the fire alarm and went inside, using his cell phone camera to capture video.

He found Kirk's children home alone and items left burning on the stovetop and in the microwave.

He was able to wake the children and get them safely out of the apartment.
