A drug round-up in Rogers County ended with 15 arrests of people accused of selling meth, heroin, pills and illegal weapons.
Up before dawn, deputies and officers broke into teams and went to addresses all over Rogers County. The goal - arrest people caught selling dope or guns in recent undercover operations.
First stop was the home of Kevin and Chris Chambers.
Deputies from Rogers and Mayes Counties, along with police from Claremore and Talala and investigators from the Rogers County District Attorney's Office, all helped with hitting several homes at once for the element of surprise.
And, it worked; they also arrest Charity Drozd, a woman accused of selling meth, and Audie Hipp, accused of selling meth and a gun.
Major Coy Jenkins with the Rogers County Sheriff's Office said, "We want the community to know we're aggressive against these things from happening. We're not going to stand idly by and let it happen in Rogers County."
Teams also arrested Michael Matthews, Veronica Alba and 12 other people.
Investigators said this was not one big ring working together, but people working separately to sell drugs.
With search warrants, they also recovered a pile of evidence, including illegal drugs and guns.
"They contribute in no way to society. They're a menace to our community and we plan on removing everyone one these career criminals and incarcerating them, which is the only place they belong," Jenkins said.
Investigators said Monday’s operation was phase one. They said phase two begins will look at other cases inside and outside the county.
