Rogers County Deputies Get Gifts Designed To Comfort Children In Crisis

Rogers County Sheriff's deputies hope a small gesture brings a big boost to children they encounter.  

The group "Joy In The Cause" donated more than 50 backpacks for deputies to give to children facing tough situations.  

Each backpack has something in it for every child, no matter the situation.   

"They might have lost a parent, they might be in a health crisis.  Whatever the issue these backpacks are made to bring comfort," said Lisa Bain, founding director of Joy In The Cause.  

Bain says as soon as this supply of backpacks are exhausted, her group will provide new ones for the deputies to hand out.
