Tulsa Police Corporal Aaron McPherson of the Gilcrease Division was injured in a wreck while riding a motorcycle Wednesday night in Rogers County.

Oologah emergency management said his motorcycle and a pickup crashed around 7:30 p.m. on the highway at North 4070 Road, southeast of town.

The 38-year-old police officer was driving in the northbound lanes when a pickup failed to yield from a stop sign on the county road, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. McPherson hit the truck in the driver's side.

He was treated at the scene by medics and Northwest Rogers County firefighters then taken to a Tulsa hospital with multiple serious injuries, Oologah-Talala Emergency Management states.

The pickup driver, 42-year-old Kari Xiong of Collinsville, refused treatment at the scene, OHP states.

McPherson, a Skiatook resident, was not wearing a helmet, the collision report states.
