Heads up for scattered storms this afternoon. Storms should develop shortly after the noon hour across southern Oklahoma. Highest chances for storms today will be south of Interstate 44. Highs today should climb to near 96 with maximum heat index around 104.
This is just the beginning; we are in store for a hot week ahead.
Highs will inch back into the upper 90s for the first day of our work week. A few showers could pop up but overall it will be a dry day.
By Tuesday, morning lows will be close to 80 with highs near 100. That's the way it will stay through the rest of the work week. Heat index values will range from 105 to 110 this week. Most oppressive days are looking to be Thursday and Friday.
