Bartlesville is getting a $500,000 federal grant to build more low-income housing.

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development says its Main Street program will help transform a 90-year-old abandoned church campus into housing, retail, and hospitality space.

The project also will promote walkable neighborhoods, better transportation options and access to amenities and open space.

Last year, a Main Street grant helped redevelop the former Washington County Memorial hospital and build more affordable housing.
