Some Tulsa children spent Wednesday afternoon spreading some support and encouragement to area law enforcement officers.
The children handed out bags of candy with thank you notes, hoping a small act of kindness goes a long way.
"This community and the country needed to know that there are people specially our young kids who appreciate and honor the police for the commitment that they are doing. This is all about the kids idea, the kids decorating the bags, the kids putting the candy in the bag to honors this law enforcement agents," said former Tulsa County DA, Tim Harris.
Organizers of the event say they wanted to make a statement and stand against recent violence against police officers.
