A Tulsa man was arrested after police said he threatened his neighbors with an axe. Police said 33-year-old Brandon Post forced his way into a home in the 5800 block of East 80th Street Wednesday evening.

He first knocked on the door then shoved his way inside while carrying a hatchet, an arrest report states. The arresting officer said the woman who answered the door screamed for help, and her nephews forced Post outside, taking the axe away from him. Post then ran back to his home and threatened to get a gun and shoot them, police said.

The arrest report doesn't say what sparked the dispute.

Post was booked on three complaints of assault with a dangerous weapon and one complaint of first-degree burglary - all after former conviction of a felony. He is being held on a $100,000 bond.

Department of Corrections records show he had served time for driving under the influence of alcohol, domestic assault and battery by strangulation, drug and weapons offenses.
