Tulsa Police released the names of two officers involved in the fatal shooting of a suspect Monday evening.
The department identified them as Officer Richard Urban, 39, who has been on the force since 2006 and Officer Jerod Lum, 31, who has been with TPD since 2013. They're both on administrative leave with pay pending a review of the shooting.
Police were called to the 2300 block of West 44th Street at about 6:15 p.m. concerning a domestic disturbance.
They said the suspect, identified as Jerry Brimer, 56, was holding an axe and charged at officers when they got out of their patrol cars. Both officers fired at Brimer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators are also reviewing dashcam video from one of the officer's patrol cars.
