PSO posted a final update to customers whose electricity was affected by the storm Thursday afternoon. They say they have restored power to all but a handful of about 109,000 customers in the Tulsa metropolitan area.
They issued the following statement:
PSO workers are at each of the affected customers’ locations working to restore their power.
Damage was caused by high wind speeds, trees from outside PSO’s rights-of-way falling into the power lines, numerous lightning strikes, and wind-blown debris. There were a number of broken poles, broken cross-arms, and downed power lines across the area.
If you are a PSO customer, and your electric service has not been restored, you are asked to call the power company at 1-888-218-3919.
