A piece of Arkansas River history was demolished this week in Tulsa. Crews are tearing down the Tulsa Rowing Club's boathouse on the west bank of the river.
The club's president said the building has served them well over 25 years, but now it's time to come down. Tulsa firefighters believe someone set fire to the building earlier this year.
The building was damaged beyond repair, and most of the rowing equipment inside was destroyed. A Tulsa firefighter was hurt in the response when a ceiling beam fell on him, pinning him down.

He returned to work without major injuries.
