Sand Springs Police say the 16-year-old male accused of severely injuring his own father with a hatchet has been arrested in Missouri.
Police say detectives tracked Jason Costes using the suspects cell phone GPS. Jasper County Sheriff's deputies arrested Costes in a stolen vehicle at a gas station in Carthage, according to Captain Todd Enzbrenner, Sand Springs Police.
Police say deputies found weapons in the car including a hatchet and a handgun.
Enzbrenner said Costes is being held on possession of a stolen auto and being a fugitive from justice. Additional charges of domestic assault and battery with a deadly weapon and first-degree armed robbery are anticipated.
