A Claremore coffee shop that provides employment for former female inmates is expanding thanks to a donation from Leadership Rogers County.

The remodeling of She Brews Coffee House is already underway. It will include dining for an additional 30 people and a full-service kitchen.

Every year the Leadership Rogers County class uses a golf tournament to raise money for a local nonprofit or cause and this year the class unanimously voted to help She Brew’s vision to expand.

She Brews is a ministry that gives previously incarcerated women a chance to change their lives. Owner Rhonda Bear also works to reunite the women with their children.

The group presented She Brews with a $5,000 donation.

Bear said she hopes to see reopen in mid-July.
