Firing Gun Near Police Lands Tulsans In Jail

Three people are in custody after police said one of them fired shots from a vehicle near 31st and Sheridan around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Police were at another call, investigating a disturbance, when they said someone in a car traveling northbound in the 3900 block of South Sheridan fired shots from the passenger window. The suspect apparently shot into the air.

Authorities took off after them and were able to stop the car near near the Sheridan Lanes at 38th and Sheridan. Police said the suspects ditched the gun in the chase, but officers found it - a .40-caliber Glock pistol. A magazine was found in the car.

Cameron Labass, 18, was arrested for driving without a license. Kalib Springer, 19, was arrested on complaints of discharging a firearm from a vehicle and possession of a firearm. A 17-year-old passenger was arrested for juvenile curfew warrants.

No one was injured.
