Police have two people in custody after a burglary of a trailer outside a Sapulpa fireworks stand early Tuesday.

The stand is located near Interstate-44 and 49th West Avenue. Sapulpa Police Officer James Lowry spotted two men taking fireworks from the trailer.  As he pulled up, the men got into a Chevy Tahoe and a pickup truck and took off.

Police followed the vehicles to a home near Skelly Drive and 38th West Avenue. With help from Tulsa Police and Creek County Sheriff's deputies, they surrounded the home.

Authorities said initially, the two men refused to come out of the home, but eventually surrendered and were arrested. They have been identified as Samuel Marquis Tariah, 23, and 29-year-old Daryl Delando Jackson.

Law enforcement also recovered what appeared to be at least three and a half truckloads of cases loaded with fireworks.
