Broken Arrow To Accept Applications For Firefighters

BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - The Broken Arrow Fire Department will soon be accepting applications for additional firefighters.  Interested individuals are encouraged to apply.

“We respond to approximately 10,000 calls for service annually, and that number continues to increase every year,” said Fire Chief Jeremy Moore. 

The minimum qualifications for the position are:

• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
• State of Oklahoma Emergency Medical Technician license
• National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians certification
• High School diploma or GED

The window for applications will open on July 1 and end on August 19, 2016.

Accepted applicants will be starting at the Broken Arrow Firefighter Academy in the spring of 2017.
