Some good news as a group of friends got together to makes beds for those who need them.

The James Mission had 75 mattresses donated, but it needed the beds to go with them.

Andrew Sanders and his friends thought they could help, so they got to work building beds.

Other groups donated the wood and money for supplies, while volunteers got to work building the beds.

"It's straight forward," volunteer Andrew Sanders said. "A lot of people have asked us, 'why you doing this?' Well, we heard of the need and we can meet that need and so we did."

The beds will go to help foster kids and displaced families in the area.

The volunteers already have completed around 15 beds and plan to keep going.
