Overturned Semi Carrying Hazardous Material Slows Traffic Near Wagoner

A semi carrying hazardous material rolled over near Wagoner Monday night.

Authorities say the driver was headed north on Highway 69 a couple miles south of Wagoner when he approached a curve causing his load to shift and he lost control of the truck.

Firefighters said they are trying to prevent the material from entering a navigational channel of the Arkansas River.

Officials have not said what the material is at this time.

The crash has caused a traffic jam. OHP is assisting with traffic as Wagoner County Emergency Management and Muskogee Fire clean the scene.

One northbound lane and one southbound lane are open.

Officials have not said if there are any injuries with the crash.
