An entertainment store chain with eleven locations in Oklahoma filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy this week.
A letter from President Jim Litwak explained the company is in "a comprehensive process to evaluate potential buyers for our business."
In a news release on Hastings' website, Litwak promised all Hastings stores would remain open.
He says all game rentals have been stopped and all gift cards will expire July 13. The Hastings buyback program also has been suspended.
Hastings Entertainment, which is based in Amarillo, Texas has stores in Ponca City, Bartlesville, Stillwater, Muskogee, Norman, Ardmore, Lawton, Altus, Enid, Ada and Yukon.
