Some Broken Arrow teenagers are doing what they can to help a classmate's grieving family.
Friends of 17-year-old Travor Brown are holding a ‘Dine and Donate’ fundraiser at the Lone Star Steakhouse on Hillside Driver in Broken Arrow.
Brown died last week after a sand tunnel collapsed on him in Florida.
Brown’s friend, Kate Walker said, “I'm really glad we can do something to help.”
Walker and Lauren Young work at Lone Star Steakhouse and came up with the idea to remember their friend.
“He had a way of making you feel like you were the most important person in the world when you talked to him,” Walker said.
In a school of about 4,000 students, it would be easy to get lost, but not Travor. Young and Walker said he had a personality larger than life.
“Everybody knew who he was because he'd be like singing down the hallways. He was basically a ray of sunshine,” Walker said.
A light that left the world far too soon; Brown died last week after a sand tunnel collapsed on him while vacationing in Florida.

Young said, “He never wasted a moment.”
That’s why his friends didn't waste a moment in coming up with a way to help Brown's family - 15 percent of the entire day and night's profit will go to them.
“He attracted all these people in and made them listen, and made them feel special, and I think that's something to cherish. I think that's a real gift, and even now that he's gone, he's still doing it,” Young said.
Lone Star Steakhouse on Hillside Drive in Broken Arrow is open until 10:00 p.m.
There are two more opportunities to ‘Dine and Donate’ to Travor's family, on June 28th and July 12th.
