Deputies arrested a Claremore woman for failing to register as a sex offender.

They booked Robyn Mason, 37, into the Rogers County jail Tuesday morning.

Mason was charged in 2007 in Washington County with second-degree rape involving a 14-year-old boy. Mason, who was known as Robyn Werts at the time, told police the teen had stayed at her home on the weekends a few times so he could attend church the next day.

Court records show she pleaded guilty and was given a five-year sentence. She was also ordered to register as a sexual offender.

Deputies says Mason had not registered and was also living too close to an elementary school in Claremore.

Robyn Mason is being held on a $20,000 bond.
